On your setup, in BIOS try setting 'Set CPU Host Frequency (Mhz)' to less than 200 (say 180 then 175). This reduces power consumption by limiting CPU clock speed. You want to get to a value that's low enough without causing instability / slow response.
Dear cics,
This seems to work fine at 192 kHz oversampling/-145 dB upsampler.
I noticed, intitially, some delay with the "clock" within cPLAY. The music continued without hiccups with the clock acting a little wobbly. This soon calmed down and seemed to stabilize.
I am letting the computer run continuously the next few days while repeatedly playing a record.
My voltage on CPUZ for the processor has continued to be 1.104. Nothing seems to make it change.
Thanks,

.
Dear cics,
I have retained 175 mHz as a baseline and when I get enough time in I will try 180 and see if I can hear any difference.
Is there the possiblity that a higher frequency COULD sound better even if the loewr frequency is stable?
Thanks,
Rick McInnis
