Anybody have a recommendation? I have some 500G IDE drives I want to hook up to my new iMac used to store my music files. This would be used for primary storage so it would be on all of the time and need good cooling. Higher speed would be nice but more concerned with quality and cooling.

A complete solution provider is Glyph Tech, they supply cases including the disks, maybe not what you are looking for though, but quiet and very good heat control.
I use a Glyphtech 750GB with a Macbook, I am happy so far, it is around six months in service with me.

I've been using a Venus DS3R 2-bay removable drive enclosure for my IDE drives for well over a year now. Has 2 FW800 ports, 1 FW400. The major drawback is that it's a little noisy. Otherwise, works great. I think I got mine for about $150 from newegg.com.
