Apple products work the kinks out after every single time there is backlash.
I would never be the first in line with apple products knowing their QA. It takes quite awhile in their hardware cycle to work out the kinks.
I read stories of screens going dead, iPhones with problems, etc...
Only after sufficient backlash has any changed happened. Yet the fanboys keep buying it.
Lining up to spend a months salary for garbage. Then have to go through the warranty process.
Follow Ups:
I have had zero hardware issues with the many Apple products that I have purchased over the past 9 years. Can't say the same for my other brands.
In fact, every piece of Apple gear that I have ever purchased continues to work flawlessly. I've given some away to family members including old iMac, MacBook Air, iPods, early iPads, etc. I still have 3 Mac Minis that all work perfectly. My 2007 MacBook Pro works fine. I've sold a few old iPhones for cash and generally keep the previous model as a backup when I buy a new one.
Is your new MacBook Pro giving you hardware problems?
no, but it is giving me other problems. watching my credit rating go from 810 to 720 because I spent that much money in a month :)
I have an ipad that I got and no problems, what I am trying to say is the first batches usually have the problems. wait for the next big bad batch, knowing initial rollouts always have problems.

Yes, there's a higher likelihood of first batch problems vs waiting later into the production cycle, but this is true of pretty much any brand or product. For example, I would never buy the first model year of a car.
I was going to use the car analogy as well :)
thanks again for the help before in helping me find MacOSX so I could do a fresh install if I have to down the line.
