I came across Metrum Musette that looks good on specs and the price is reasonable. Any comments on its sonics, esp. with violins?

This is a ladder dac with no oversampling. I love these dacs. Heard the Musette only for an hour but I really like its sound. Remember it does not do DSD. I once owned a Metrum Hex and it was one of my favorite dacs.

Thanks! Yeah, I know it doesn't do DSD, but apparently one can't have everything in this price range ;-)
Not that I did that when I bought my first 'multi-bit' ladder DAC a few months ago.
And I might do things differently if I were to do them again, maybe.
But I knew what I liked and didn't like about the current crop of DACs, especially those with Delta-Sigma DAC chips and especially Sabre ES9018 chip set.
Not to say they are ALL bad or even any BAD but most are way to 'detailed' for my 'Vinyl, Toobs and Horns' preferences in audio.
