Irrational, But Efficacious disk containing a series of different tracks designed for that purpose.
It's not downloadable, but highly recommended. You can get a copy from a range of vendors including Amazon.
Follow Ups:
I use it (track 1) more as a weekly tune-up to get better SQ. Not sure whether it tunes the system, my ears, or my imagination but it does make for better listening. For burn-in of new components I mostly just play music.
Since I've ripped all my CDs to the music server, it is very easy for me to use it across all systems.
Even Charles Hansen will honestly tell you he doesn't really understand how or why it works - just that it does!
