Hey all,
Here's a quick demo I put together on video of Daphile Linux. https://www.daphile.com/
Linux has the ability to upsample PCM to DSD and an easy way to have all the settings in place without tweaking the kernel yourself like crazy is to install Daphile Linux.
It is a piece of cake.
With all this talk about linux systems, people on a budget can have this system installed, also since it uses the same front end system as the Squeezebox you can run tidal through the system and upsample your streaming FLAC libraries to DSD as well. My DAC goes to 128 DSD with the current firmware but I see DSD 4x is available and possibly higher depending on your DAC and if it meets standard USB audio implementation. Which would be compatible with USBAudio in linux.

BH,
So is your library 90% DSD? Why would you want to convert PCM to DSD? Because you can???
Look unless your DAC is using an FPGA as the DAC chip and only outputs DSD then this would make sense. The rest of the DAC chips on the market are going to convert DSD back to a form of PCM before they output to their analog circuitry. So doing this is a freaken waste of time.
Guys, think of this when your go off on a quest. Just because you can do something, doesn't mean you should do it.
Thanks,
Gordon

Does it include pics of naked women? :)
There are voice overs by myself, aleister crowley and or william s burroughs come to mind,
That's just there to keep the riffraff away.
