Heard it at a fellow inmate's place, in a VERY good sounding system a few weeks ago and it sounded great.
Didn't do an A:B but from the overall quality and sound of his system I'm inclined to take his word for it that it is a big step up from SBT.
Follow Ups:
I've spend a couple more hours this morning listening further. As compared with SBT / Welbourne Labs linear:
1. Better first octave response. Always thought soundtrack from Phantom of the Opera lacked oomph in the organ pedal.
2. You hear more of the recorded space. Whether it is more true hall ambience or being more aware of that instrument/voice in isolation.
3. Tails of upper harmonics from cymbals, xylophones and finger chimes hang and linger in the air. And linger...
4. Improved dynamic contrasts.
The little sucker can really bring out the emotion. :)
Especially as LMS has a lot of add-on software for streaming TITAL and even QOBUX, or so I am led to believe.
as the only service wifey and I stream (primarily for our cars) is SiriusXM.
No, you have it ALL WRONG!
It is an over hyped piece of junk, with no return policy, with a lot of buzz..HUNDREDS will appear on Audiogon shortly. The designers are liars who are using cheap parts and claiming custom design and in house engineering. You can't handle the TRUTH! :)
You heard here from the world renown experts on AA.
