Yes it does, but it is dependent on your DAC and more. I am in the process of evaluating it for a follow-up review at AS. I am in contact with Simple Design

Steve, does your DAC normally require you to load a driver on your Mac in order for it to function at it's highest DSD rate, or do you simply rely on the Mac's default drivers? (This question may not be applicable because I thought I read somewhere that Mac will not support DSD512, but I'm not sure).
I ask because I'm wondering if the microRendu might need a driver update (possibly in a future software release) to fully support your DAC at DSD512.
OSX does not support DSD256 unless you have a driver like the ASIO driver exaSound has. with the Analog DAC, OSX only supports DSD128. For the MSB Quad USB module, DSD256 is only supported with Windows running the ASIO driver with native selected.
My DAC does not support DSD512.
Interesting.
This brings up another question not that I'm expecting you to have the answer.
If you're running something HQPlayer on the Mac and up-sampling to DSD512 AND streaming over the network to a device like the microRenddu that DOES support DSD512 AND it is attached to a DAC that supports DSD512, I wonder if that will work.
Or... if the limitation is still the Mac supporting only up to DSD128.
