Logitech 'Killed' the SBT years ago. The Fact that Manufacturers keep producing Units that run LMS, gives more life to the SBT than ever! They may have improved parts and less noise making gizmos than a SBT, like the Screen and internal DAC, but they are basically an improved SBT.... And the improvements won't stop with the microrendu...
Nothing revolutionary about these new players.

LOL?The LOL is your speculation....
Why waste time with speculation?
Now, if you actually had some experience, then you'd have knowledge, then you'd have credibility....
"I buy from small manufacturers"
Better fix that. What you do in reality, is buy mid-fi run-off, from assembly-line-machines made in Taiwan: don't try anything else, - then speculate on how yours HAS to be better sounding because they've got a "if i don't like it," return guarantee on their 4 million unit machine run.
Not only are you speculating about the SQ; your ignorant statement about what is and is not the internal topology of the hardware & OS: is laughable. In short, you have no clue as to whether it's revolutionary or not. Perhaps a good start would be for you to ask questions, instead of making incorrect statements.

Behind his eyes he says, 'I still exist.'"

And having heard NONE of these devices you are utterly unqualified to make such grand statements.
