Perhaps not good because of po9ssible extra noise and frequency modulation.
Follow Ups:
Noise is same. Some folks don't like a blinking light when they listen.
You should check it out.
How do you know except for quoted noise measurement which is unlikely to show up noise transients?
All of the USB devices I have on hand have LEDs. Perhaps listening to the Intona would provide futher insight Fred.
From Intona:
Upon request we provide a special modification to the LED blinking behaviour of the 7054-based isolator. That is, swapping the "high-speed" indication by the "failure" indication.
As result, the isolator LEDs will not blink when in high speed mode but are constantly on.
You may request this version by writing "NF-option" in the paypal payment process or as an email afterwards.
Naturally, you could modify it to your performance specifications.
