Hi and thanks for the kind and helpful reply.
I am rolling the dice now but i suspect that the effect of the Intona isolator will be less evident on the Ayre.
I am very curious to know the result if you will have the opportunity to try.
Thanks again.
Kind regards,
bg

I might try the Intona on the Ayre this weekend. The weather reports are saying we will get heavy rain or lots of snow, depending on how far down the cold air mass dips into Colorado as the storm comes through. Bad weather is usually a good time to tinker with audio stuff indoors! Unless we lose power. ;-)
Well thank you very much indeed.
However i wish you that forecasts are wrong and weather will be fine.
For usb connection i am using a very simple filter.
The external power is a cheap 5VDC/2A smps and still i think that after the filtering provided in the box is better than the usb power from the pc.
Maybe the jitter on usb is hugely increased but still i prefer a Audinst mini usb dac with this device rather than connected directly to the usb port on the pc.
Let me know how it goes with the Ayre. If it improves even that it must be a really great product.
Kind regards,
bg
