Call the manufacturer. ;-)Unless it has a trimpot, you'll need to know the type of regulator chip and the value of the resistors around it.... and reverse engineer a schematic to know which resistor values to alter.
For a quick fix, you can simply place two silicon diodes in series with the output to drop the voltage by about ~1.2 to ~1.4v (load current dependent) with a commonly available 1N400x diode (1N4001, 1N4003, etc.).
Keep in mind the 1N400x series are rated at 1-Amp but you're not likely to draw anywhere near that unless your DAC is fully powered by USB only. If you think you need higher current you can try a couple 1N5408 diodes or similar. The point being, each silicon diode in series will drop your voltage by about .6 - .7 v or so. Try a couple, try three, experiment. They're cheap.
Try it with your load and measure with your DMM.

Not sure what you are saying. The Regen needs at least 5v to operate correctly and John Swenson recommended this power supply running at 9v for the Regen
. His voltage is very low and your telling him how to further drop it
The unit he has is supposed to put out 9v. I have the same unit

Picts etc. Read a lot more there.
The guy asked how to drop the voltage. I told him.
That was the edited post that I just saw. It was not his original post. Buy the way there is no need to drop the voltage. The voltage he is seeing works perfect with the Regen.

That's fine. He asked how to drop the voltage and I showed him how. Whether he thinks he needs to or not is his business.
