Sounds like you can Stream HQA, don't know about playing Files.
Follow Ups:
Pure unadulterated horse manure marketing.
"Prime among the Brooklyn's future-proof features is hardware-based decoding for MQA® (Master Quality Authenticated). MQA's "killer appeal" is its ability to deliver studio quality, "Master Quality Assured" streaming with no need to increase bandwidth beyond what is needed for CD-Quality streaming. Says MQA creator Bob Stuart, "You can take an MQA-encoded file, play it anywhere, and it will sound better than CD."
They told you the DAC you bought 2 years ago was future proof. Guess not.
a fun enjoyable read of a largely positive review of MQA?
What is hard to understand?
He gave a tremendous amount of detail into his methodology, his gear, the tracks he listened to, and was very honest about his expectations.
He was able to listen in his own home with his own system.
No absurd over the top drivel based on a rigged show demo.
I want to see more of this, and I am not interested in molding the conclusions to my expectations/beliefs. Let them report honestly with
proper listening experiences.
Well, at least they heard it, and they have a LOT of experience with gear, more than any of us can come close to.
But, I don't disagree with you.
Let's see what happens...
I hope you know what you're doing, accusing someone of a rigged demo.
Of course listening at Home is what counts.
ALL manufacturer show demos are rigged. This is a fact. They tell you what you are going to hear, they pick source material, the gear, and control the comparisons. The press subjects also have to be sufficiently "blown away" so they get access to Bob Stuart, and to MQA equipped gear and source material on loan so they in turn can get their readers all hot and bothered.
Honestly, having read some of the accounts, the word hyperbole has been redefined.
But yes, let me read accounts of first hand listening in familiar systems.

Not to mention my Sony Hap Z1.
I'm not worried about the Future.
Something WAY substantially better will have to come along for me to buy new stuff.
The folks at Mytek have most certainly Heard MQA and thought it worth including.
Correction....The folks at Mytek have most certainly Heard MQA and thought it worth HYPING..

Thanks for posting. A very interesting and fun read.

Love the marketing BS:
"it plays all digital formats including DSD256, with a theoretical dynamic range of 130dB."
Why quote theoretical performance? Is the actual performance not so good? What a surprise..
But why stop there. Why not say "The DAC theoretically contains enough energy to power the whole United State for several weeks"
As a wise man said: In theory there is no difference between theory and practice. In practice there is.
I am so pleased that you always offer an explanation of your own products, secure in complete and ccurate scientific detail, no marketing BS whatsoever:
"it's due to the special materials relaxing into the earth's local magnetic field"
But of course, who could doubt it?
Here's another interesting fact.
"They contain a mysterious mixture of black and white powder."
And IMHO, I find it rather odd when one industry insider publicly criticizes another, even if well deserved. But hey, I also find it odd to unethical when one manufacturer posts mods for another manufacturer's product. But that's another topic we already beat to death. ;-)
I'm thinking you don't know what magnetic relaxation is?
