As most streamers are based, at least to some extent, on PC hardware and software (Linux?) one wonders why one couldn't figure out how to load TIDAL, QOBUZ and/or DEEZER ELITE PC players right onto the streamer?
Clearly TIDAL, QOBUZ, DEEZER and ClassicsOnlineHD are not all likely to write player software for every streaming service likely to hit the market and most streamer manufacturers are not going to want to spend the time and money that a company like SONOS can and will to insure that they are 100% supportive of every service there is.
If SONOS would just spend a buck or two on a decent sized hardware cache to buffer all those streams they support, I'd be quite happy.
Follow Ups:
The current state of the market is constrained by various restrictive agreements between streaming services and hardware manufacturers. First it was Spotify holding out on hardware makers demanding they incorporate Spotify Connect (basically a Spotify-exclusive version of AirPlay). Then Sonos announcing their exclusivity deal with Deezer Elite. Then Tidal launched with a bunch of partnership deals that apparently include some kind of non-compete restriction, so most of the vendors who have integrated Tidal into their devices and apps offer nothing but Tidal in North America and Qobuz in Europe. Also, you wrote:

That doesn't help with Deezer Elite of course. And it's also a sub-par experience compared to having the service integrated.

that you can download if you subscribe to Deezer Elite through your SONOS.
That said, SONOS has figured out how to get just about everyone on board, albeit still country license restricted such that, for example, if you register your SONOS account in Europe you can have QOBUZ on your SONOS but not Rhapsody.

How did I miss it?
Any chance I can plug that software into a Marantz NA system?
Or any other CURRENTLY available streamer box with decent sound and an S/PDIF coaxial output?
