Anyone familiar with AudioEngine A2+ to iPad connectivity??
I would like to go the DAC route, but I find it a bit confusing on what works and what doesn't. I found this information, but it is still sketchy in my mind and I would like just a simple 3 foot lightning to USB-B, I think. Oh no, here comes USB-C now!!

You need the Lightning to USB Camera Adapter from Apple.
You can try connecting the A2+ directly to the Lightning to USB Adapter using a USB-A to USB-B cable. See the video but substitute your iPad for the iPhone and the Denon DAC for your A2+.
If you should get a message similar to this one...
....the easy solution is to use a powered USB hub, plugging the iPad and DAC into the hub. There are other solutions too like USB Y-Cables and 5v USB battery.
Thanks. I just wanted to make sure that there is not more to this than I think.
$30 for that little CCK connect that will be lost in no time? No way.
I just ordered a USB-A female to USB-B male to plug into the rear of the little A2+ loudspeaker. Hopefully, it won't be noticeable and everyone will leave it there.
Now I have to load some CD quality music onto an iPad-mini so that I can survive a two-week trip to my in-laws. I'm a PC sort-of-guy, so I hope that is not too difficult. They will keep the A2+ and I expect it to sound pretty good.
