Thanks for the advice.
I have thought of a wireless bridge, but never implemented it. I really prefer to stay wired throughout.

Per Sam Tellig in Sterophile..
La Rosita Alpha: $2995
"Don't abandon your CDs. You can have Perfect Sound Forever, just as Sony said in 1983. What they didn't say then was that you couldn't have it until 2014." (Vol.37 No.11)
WiFi only, and truncates bits rather than down sampling to get to 16/44.1?
Folks at La Rosita really to think there is less noise and interference using the 'air' rather than a direct connection, but WTFDIK?
Anyway, Sam liked it but is no longer on board so I can't find his review on the Stereophile web page.
When it comes to speakers and amps/preamps Sam is a savant.
For digital..not so much.
Your technical knowledge just might be leading you astray?
Could be. It's happened to others.
The conventional wisdom seems to be that 'more bits and more samples' HAVE to sound better and obviously direct cable has GOT to be better than using 'Radio Waves'.
I don't own the La Rosita but I have heard it and have met the guy who is responsible for its development. That said, he's a tubes and vinyl and horns kind of 'Frenchy' guy, so I guess we can take his views on good sound with a grain of salt.
He was streaming QOBUZ at RMAF last year and through SS amps and small speakers that left me a bit cold, so I'm not going to tell you it's great sounding, but certainly didn't hear anything that would make me say that the local WiFi network that the La Rosita establishes in order to communicate with a laptop was causing any great harm.
Uh, yeh thanks, I will be running out to audition an esoteric French digital front end. Real soon.
Just suggesting that PERHAPS all of the noise about WiFi being somehow MUCH worse than wires just might not be all it's made out to be.
If wires are so great, why are you messing around with fiber?
Have you tried removing the shield from one of the jacks on your Rosewill CAT 7?
Turns out most of the Ethernet sockets on Apple products are all plastic while the SONNOS boxes seem to have a metal frame around the socket so perhaps it's a moot point?
Actually, I agree that the deficiencies of WiFi are exaggerated. I still prefer a wired set up, that is just what I have been using since day one.
I do however think that WiFi is more easily influenced by environmental factors.
