V-a-i-r-y interesting (remember Rowan & Martin's Laugh -In? Well I am old!).Nevertheless v.20 it is with no mention when purchasing of an upgrade though I will double check my confirmation of purchase email from them.
Checked just now on the JRiver wiki about v.21. That says that it is not available until 25th July. Upgrade is $18.98 for all versions back to v.10. So this doesn't correlate with you getting it earlier in the month unless you were in some kind of special position like a favoured user. NB: I briefly thought that you were saying you got it last year as I am British and to us 7/11 is 7th November! Divided by a common lanhguage and all that:-)
Edit after writing the above:
I have checked my email from Jriver and no mention of an upgrade. However reading the wiki further just now states that licences for v.20 bought after 15 June are also valid for v.21 "when it is released".

Yes - 11 July 2015 or as my database prefers for queries {^2015/7/11}. And I too am old enough to remember Laugh-In.
I read it on the JRiver forum. There it said June 8 -- 8 June.
Is this similar to a metalanguage?
So it does. But I get June 15 for licence validity on the J River Media Center Page:http://wiki.jriver.com/index.php/Upgrade_to_MC21
Hmmmmm.
