Fair enough! I'm not trying to tell you how to live your life. But I am saying that I've very happy with my PC based system and that it is a breeze to find my music on it. I'm also saying I'm glad I no longer have the shelves of CDs (which are now in boxes in a closet) and no longer have to squint at the tiny lettering on their edges to find the one I want to listen to.
Can we agree to disagree?

I'll agree to disagree with Ivan303 . I wouldn't go back to playing CDs after getting into computer audio. I ripped all my CDs to my hard drive and they not only sound better when played through a computer, but it's easier to find what I'm looking for and much more convenient overall. Additionally, I have access to a wider variety of music from friends who also switched over to computer audio.
Now, I've taken it one step further and replaced the computer with an OPPO BDP-105D for the perfect single component that plays everything digital including the old physical CDs and SACDs.
Best regards,
John Elison
