There are chapters specifically devoted to mains power supplies with background and applicable fundamentals
I don't doubt there are but, alas, though you consume bandwidth with glossy pix, you don't say which chapters in which books.
What BTW is an "applicable fundamental"? It sounds like an Ann Summers accessory.
.... not necessarily just audio hobby related
Duncan's book is aimed mainly at the the pro-audio sector. If you want to call them "hobbyists", that's for you to sort out with its members. IME, they're a touchy bunch.

If you don't doubt it then why the interrogation? Do you really care or are you just trying to stir up shit?
If you are truly interested then go buy the fricken books or visit a library.
As they say, a picture is worth a thousand words as I wasn't in the mood to type all the titles and authors. The only useless bandwidth in this thread is your whining and hot air.
If you don't know the meaning of "applicable fundamentals" in the context of my post, I feel sorry for you.

Thank you for editing your post. The text of the e-mailed version I received was less restrained.
fmak linked to an old article by Ben Duncan. You replied with a pic of classic texts and vacuous phrases like "applicable fundamentals" but no detailed references. Your intention was clearly not to inform or advance the discussion but to put down.
I pointed out that Duncan had written a book on - and only on - mains supply for audio. As the measures it describes are detailed and comply with UK Regulations, I thought he might like to know of it.
Your response reminds me (a) why you had to be turfed off the forum and (b) why I find it hard to take this list seriously any more. It suggests that you learnt little during your sabbatical.
Blah blah blah blah. You have nothing to contribute and your endless hot air is getting to be too much.
