Nice cursory article but to get a better understanding of filtering, grounding, shielding, and proper application of devices for different scenarios, I would consider reading some books on the topic.Assuming one has a fundamental understanding electronics, my first 'go to' choice would be "Noise Reduction Techniques in Electronic Systems" by Henry W. Ott. The others are good too.
"Henry W. Ott is President and Principal Consultant of Henry Ott Consultants (www.hottconsultants.com), an Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) training and consulting organization located in Livingston, NJ. Mr. Ott has over thirty years experience in the field of EMC. Prior to starting his own consulting company, he was with AT&T Bell Laboratories for thirty years, where he was a Distinguished Member of the Technical Staff."
"Mr. Ott is a Life Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE), and an Honorary Life Member of the IEEE EMC Society. For over twenty years, Mr. Ott served the IEEE EMC Society in various capacities including; member of the Board of Directors, Education Committee Chairman, Symposium Committee Chairman, and Vice President for Conferences."

Good idea 'cept the books you cite, excellent though I'm sure they are, don't seem to focus on the topic of mains power supplies. IME, it's a bit of a specialism.
OTOH, Ben Duncan, the author fmak cites, published a book-length collection of off-prints called "Audio Quality Mains Supplies" way back in 1999, the year I bought my copy. Not cheap but I can recommend it as it reproduces (not terribly well, at least not then, but that's copyright for you) UK journal and magazine articles from 1985 to 1998 reflecting the author's experience as a consultant to the recording industry and the audio reproduction sector.
1985? Gosh. That's over 30 years ago. Is it that time already?

" don't seem to focus on the topic of mains power supplies."
The Ott books, excellent IMO, instruct on how to analyze and solve noise problems from the theoretical point of view. Master that approach and there isn't a noise problem you can't deal with.
There are chapters specifically devoted to mains power supplies with background and applicable fundamentals.... not necessarily just audio hobby related.

I don't doubt there are but, alas, though you consume bandwidth with glossy pix, you don't say which chapters in which books.
What BTW is an "applicable fundamental"? It sounds like an Ann Summers accessory.

Duncan's book is aimed mainly at the the pro-audio sector. If you want to call them "hobbyists", that's for you to sort out with its members. IME, they're a touchy bunch.
who understand fundamentals and put them into practice will:not connect computers to power supplies with croc clips or
pile audio digital devices on top of computers

If you don't doubt it then why the interrogation? Do you really care or are you just trying to stir up shit?
If you are truly interested then go buy the fricken books or visit a library.
As they say, a picture is worth a thousand words as I wasn't in the mood to type all the titles and authors. The only useless bandwidth in this thread is your whining and hot air.
If you don't know the meaning of "applicable fundamentals" in the context of my post, I feel sorry for you.

Thank you for editing your post. The text of the e-mailed version I received was less restrained.
fmak linked to an old article by Ben Duncan. You replied with a pic of classic texts and vacuous phrases like "applicable fundamentals" but no detailed references. Your intention was clearly not to inform or advance the discussion but to put down.
I pointed out that Duncan had written a book on - and only on - mains supply for audio. As the measures it describes are detailed and comply with UK Regulations, I thought he might like to know of it.
Your response reminds me (a) why you had to be turfed off the forum and (b) why I find it hard to take this list seriously any more. It suggests that you learnt little during your sabbatical.
Blah blah blah blah. You have nothing to contribute and your endless hot air is getting to be too much.
