the sound quality can be easily improved by replacing the
stock tubes by some NOS 5751 or some better present production 12ax7,
and by using very good power cord (now i have Acrolink, with
Oyaide 079 connectors)
finally, i replaced the stock coupling capacitors by VH Audio OIMP (1uF),
then the transparence increased several levels
best, paco

Thanks. What is the stock tube? Also I thought they came with Clarity caps. You are saying you installed better ones?
Do you find the sound analog sounding?

I.D.
the stock pair of tubes which came with my unit was Tungsol 12ax7,
new production from Russia; not bad but there are MUCH better options available,
as i saidand yes, i installed much better caps than the stock ones
as for "analogue sounding" it depends upon the rest of your system,
the power cords you use, etc.best, p
