I have a mac mini w a mini VGA adapter and need to connect to a monitor w the below jack... which I've been told is a DVI-D connector.

Hiya,
There are a couple of different iterations of this DVI cable.
Is your cable for your MAC Mini the one linked to below?
I would suggest buying this one from APPLE directly, - or (if you're lucky), - Best Buy.

Where people had paid to see inside,
For entertainment they watch his body twist
Behind his eyes he says, 'I still exist.'"
This one?
Hiya,
Yeah, - but again, - I would buy it from Apple. Some of these cables have a covering around the DVI connector and can be problematic.
Also, I am not sure what model monitor you have. Again, - these DVI-style connectors vary. There're video cards that use a HDMI-D to DVI-D SL that is different.
I don't want to send you down the wrong path. If you're using the male-to-mail DVI cable that came with our monitor: check for 2 pins above and below the bigger horizontal pin to the left of the 2 groups of 9 pins.
If your male-to-male connector has those pins, - then these DVI adapters will not work.
Cheers,

.
a DVI: you'll need a miniport to DVI adapter.

Not sure what happened to the picture of the monitor jack but here it is.
My question is- Will the adapter in the Ebay link work?
I'm just using for an office system... which consists mostly of internet radio, so, no hi rez video going on.
