software that lets you access and control everything on a Mac/PC using a tablet and/or a phone (I imagine). I use it to control my Mac Mini when playing music, works like a charm.
It allows to to do anything that a normal monitor allows you to do, any function.

i repeat from below: "maybe i wasn't clear enough: i don't want to use a smartphone as a remote, even if it were possible out of IOS; i like a mechanical remote, with buttons to press even with my eyes closed, and NOT having to look at a screen... right?"
It just seems to me that you would like to actually have a view of your options rather than just push a button. I like having a menu to choose and pick from.

I suspect the OP knows better than anyone else what he wants.
Some tasks (such as building a playlist) require looking at a screen to see the options. Other tasks do not, such as adjusting the volume, and starting/pausing/continuing/stopping the playlist. Reading and navigating a playlist is not as easy a task as twisting a knob or pressing a button and may require multiple steps such as putting on one's reading glasses and waking up a dimmed screen...
