I'm trying to put an SSD in my backup PC. I bought a Rosewill 2.5" SSD & HDD mounting kit and it does not BEGIN to line up with my hard drive cage.
It's a standard hard drive cage. I've been looking for an mounting adaptor that will fit, any suggestions?

They recommended this. I'll try it Wednesday when it gets here.

A much better choice over tape IMHO. Assuming your PC disk cage is indeed 'standard' and does not require proprietary mounting hardware, it should work out nicely. Good luck!
I have a system 76 computer. When it came time to install a mechanical hdd it is in place by one screw. I just said to myself, don't turn it upside down. With a ssd I would have just taped it down with electrical tape ;). That's just me.
You don't need an adapter. I've used Velcro to secure SSD's in many computers. Works great.

Should be easy to find a laptop to 3.5" drive bay adapter from any number of sources.
Here's a few
As for me, I'd avoid using tape. :)
There is really no need for an adapter in most cases. The SSD is light enough to be mounted on one side only, or on any flat area with standoffs.
I have even used high temperature tape where it is stable to do so..

I remember what you did when I said that :) lol...

My son does some part-time DJing; quite cool when he combines classical with modern and some of it sounds quite nice..

The damage can not be completely undone. Also, there is some debate over who are the culprits.

However, since we are blessed with the kind of moderation we're blessed with, looks like it's as far as undoing the damage goes.
What brand and model PC is it? What do you mean by standard hard drive cage? Is it 3.5" or 5.25" ?Is your mounting kit a 2.5" to 3.5" kit?
Some brand name PCs do not use 'standard' disk cages / mountings so that could be a potential issue as well.
I suppose you could use tape as one inmate suggested but its not the brightest idea IMHO.
