1.) Hook an Ethernet cable between your SBT and Router.
2.) On the SBT (I use the remote)...
3.) Go to Settings>Advanced>Networking>Choose Network
4.) It will list out the wireless networks and the Ethernet One.
5.) Select the 'Ethernet' one and it will connect and you're good to go.Cut-Throat

I not only need an ethernet cable from the SB to the router, but also from the laptop to the router to be completly wired?

No. Assuming you can see your network from your laptop (i.e. surf the web).
Try the Ethernet from the SBT to the Router first and see how that goes..

I've gotten as far as step 5 before and that's where I had a problem. I will try it again and see what happens.
