Also, as someone suggested if his router is set to 'Auto' and someone else near him has recently installed wireless, moving his router to a designated channel may also fix the problem. I had this problem streaming movies at my winter home when using a Chromecast device.Cut-Throat

You need to access the router via your laptop and login as the admin. Under the wireless settings there is a channel setting that is probably set to 'Auto'. You should change it to 1, 6 or 11.
