There is nothing wrong with 44.1, as long as the digital filter is not the 30kHz brickwall. It can deliver 95% of the 24/192 magic with the right filtering.
I'm not against hi-res, but the download times are just excruciatingly long still and prices too high. If I could just stream it inexpensively from the cloud to my own portable device real-time, I would be all on-board with Pono.

download times are NOT long. I can download a DSD or 192 album in FIVE MINUTES.
Secondly, the prices with coupon (I have never purchased without a 15% off coupon) are $20-22 for 192 albums, look at the prices for vinyl..and vinyl mastered from digital at that..then talk to me...
Audiophiles are willing to wait 5 minutes, but not the average consumer. They want to stream it real-time.
