Bit surprised about the USB audio part.
USB audio devices with a proprietary driver (bulk mode) do exist but are becoming rare.
Most of them support UAC1 and UAC2.
In the latter case you need a driver on Win as Win doesn't support UAC2.
OSX and recent Linux do support UAC2 out of the box.

Hi and thanks a lot for the very welcome information !
this is very interesting
Honestly i know for sure for the Netgear 4100 and 3100 usb wireless adapter
But the internal wifi of the laptop works !
So i guess i have only to find one usb adapter with Ubuntu drivers, if such adapter exists.
But i am very willing to do so.
Thanks again.
Kind regards,
bg
me too a little bit, although I think there are some proprietary designs left, I would never buy one of those.
the driver part, he can get great help from the Ubuntu forums, it says is beppe's profile he's from Italy, maybe the Italian ubuntu forum site would be more friendly?
I can't tell you how much linux material I've read over the years, millions and millions of pages of info.
