Here's some info about what JACK is:

"...a professional sound server daemon that provides real-time, low latency connections for both audio and MIDI data between applications that implement its API."
Hi and thanks for the kind reply
So it is a SW running in Linux ?
the connection kit misled me. I was thinking of an HW interface
May i ask you which port do you use to connect your pc to the dac ?
Thanks again
Kind regards,

The DAC is connected via USB
Hi thanks a lot again !
I am not an expert of PCs but the Linux adventure is very tempting
I am a little scared by it but also intrigued
I like the fact, if i understand well, that it is not very hungry of resources
I have a spare laptop to test it
I will start with this Ubuntu Studio just to see what i can get out of it
Then i will pass to the Jack Audio program
Thanks a lot again
Kind regards,
bg
