...it's not Audirvana, it seems to be a computer thing. Perhaps its just the computer taking time to fully "wake up". It never does this if the TVs input is set to the DVD player just the computer. So...never mind.

I just leave my computer ON 24/7 since it consumes little power espeically with it's solid-state disk.
Should you choose to leave your computer ON 24/7 you can save a little power by spinning down the hard disk by going to:
System Preferences > Energy Saver >
then check the box to "Put hard disks to sleep when possible"
