The truth is I've never been a fan of Spotify or Pandora. This is the first computer-based service I've liked. And I am discovering much music that had flown below my radar.
But I'm not sure that I'm digging it $240.00 a year worth. That is the question.

Search is AWFUL compared to QOBUZ, or MOG for that matter.
I have subscriptions to QOBUZ, Spotify and now TIDAL and will keep TIDAL if and only if the can return more than 29 CD titles for the search term "Mozart'. QOBUZ returns over 10,000 titles for the same search term.
I take it that you are listening to Classical Music? Do you listen to any other type of music and how does that compare on Spotify vs Tidal?
If you understand, things are just as they are; if you do not understand, things are just as they are.

Certainly not even 25% better sound with a cheap USB DAC and headphones.
Maybe 25% better sounding using the USB DAC in my Marantz NA-7004 and playing in my main system, but not twice as good sounding.
I prefer QOBUZ because it works with Apple AirPlay and I haven't figured out how to make TIDAL work with AirPlay.
Spotify works with SONOS which neither QOBUZ (in the US) or TIDAL will at this time.
I will end up with only one streaming service soon, but will wait to see how all of the features shake out.
a significant improvement in sound quality?

For entertainment they watch his body twist
Behind his eyes he says, 'I still exist.'"
Nope, Not Yet! I streamed Spotify at 320Kbps and TIDAL at 44.1....

perhaps you bought the WRONG 5 meter USB cable. ;-)
I assume you have Premium Spotify Account?

I am trying it out, but so far for me Spotify wins as far as Music Selection for the Music I like. Every Artist I have looked at in TIDAL has fewer Albums than Spotify has..... So this is not cool for me!Can I ask why you weren't a Fan of Spotify?
I understand Pandora, which is not any kind of streaming service that you can control. Pandora is "Kindergarten" of Music Streamers. Poor Quality, Poor Selection and No Control of Music Whatsoever, Even if you pay for it!!

For instance, TIDAL has just about 100% of the CHANDOS label in the catalog but finding it is almost impossible.
First, it is very hard to use multiple keys in a search, but sometimes you can use composer and artist and get a return that won't be there if you just search for the composer.
Search for Bruckner, you get just 30 CD Titles to choose from when the whole catalog surely has more. Then you can search for Eugen Jochum, again just 30 CD Titles, search for "Eugen Jochum Bruckner" and you get 30 CD Titles with Jochum conducting Bruckner so you know there must be THOUSANDS of Bruckner CD Titles if you can just figure out how to find them.
I've tried searching by album etc. --- And as far as I'm concerned the sound quality is on par with Spotify.

Could be they ARE there, but you just can't find them!
How would you go about finding them? But, you're right, if their indexing is screwed up and the albums are there, you might not be able to find it.Cut-Throat

Then enter every key word I can find on the Amazon site until I get a hit.
But I'm looking for things that are just not complicated. Here is my favorite album (Which I have a hardcopy of) on Amazon. It is on Spotify, but I can't find it on TIDAL. The more artists I look for, the more disappointed I am. Their Library is much more meager than Spotify or MOG was.

Must not be very good. ;-)
OK, but you can buy it used on Amazon for $2.50, there's that.
And like I said, I already own it. But this was only one example, I am finding dozens more. Almost every Artist I search for has far fewer albums.
If this is indeed the case, TIDAL is a 'no-go' for me.

That is a function of the search algorithm, or perhaps just the way they display results.
Search "Leonard Bernstein" on TIDAL and you get 30 results only! 1400+ on QOBUZ!
Now we know there are more that 30 Bernstein titles on TIDAL because we can search "Leonard Bernstein Beethoven" and get... 30 titles!
I have complained a couple times and go no reply. Met one of the European executives of TIDAL at their room at RMAF last month so I should email him directly and see if I get a response.
Gotta find his card, if I even bothered to get one.
I understand perfectly on why you are having this problem on Classical. The albums I'm looking for just aren't there!!!
Here is another one of my favorites on Spotify and MOG
