I have been a bit perplexed by the hit or miss sound quality with Audirvarna updates over the past few years. As I was very much looking forward to the promissed functionality of the 2.0 Plus version recently released, I was also concerned at the possibility that the sound quality might take a step backward.
Well, not only is this software (I opted to buy a whole $79.00 product instead of just paying for the upgrade. The designer deserves that an MUCH MORE in my opinion) functionally outstanding, but it is sonically the best yet! This is really something. I would have paid Much more with pleasure.

Agree, 100 percent. I much prefer the new sound of 2.0 over all the previous others and the library management is great.
I'm one of those lucky people who simply upgraded without deleting previous version and synced my library with no problems at all. It took about 5 minutes total.
I really don't understand how all these other folk have immense problems. I've never had any issues with any version I've used. Maybe because it's a dedicated Mac mini for music and nothing else.
Tell, a lie, the new version does not sync DFF files for me, something to do with metadata I believe. But that's only 3 titles. And 1 duet album that has synced as individual tracks as albums. Again a metadata issue. I'll deleted that and re sync.
Enjoy
Smart
I am having issues with the new library manager importing new titles. Also, there are issues with the actual display of the files. I often have to force the sync as auto is not always working. Otherwise, the program works fine for me.
If one looks at JRiver Media Center's file management for OSX, the differences will be quite obvious in display and function of titles.
I've been using splashtop wifi display on an ipad as my remote. This is different than the old splashtop app. Wifi display acts just like a second monitor, and I simply drag the Audirvana interface onto the ipad window. Works great
Its a little less dark and seems to have more detail all round without ever sounding hath or brittle. At least that was my first impression after I downloaded it and played an album.

I may have to give it a try. I'm on an earlier version:
