I have a SACD player, no budget for a DSD DAC or an Oppo at the moment.
It purely for fiddling around literally, I record music (my band), wanted to see if I could play my music back in full resolution on my system utilizing my existing SACD player.
Thanks for the info on the Oppo, seems not to my tastes however. DSD DAC sounds interesting, but not going to get one for just one album.

What recorder do you use? Can't you connect it to your system to play back your recordings?
I'm thinking of switching from my old Alesis Masterlink to the new TASCAM DA-3000 . It seems like a good deal at $799.
The TASCAM is pretty good. I did some SACD conversions to 24/88.1 PCM and used the TASCAM to record them for my iTunes server.

I use the TASCAM, but not mine, it is in my friends studio.Seems like a hastle no? In theory wouldn't it be possible to master SACD to a DVD-R?
