But, - I'm in the market for, and am comparing, transports.
I am not interested in "combination" devices like music servers that have hard drives, DACs, video cards, USB buses, disc drives.....
I am not interested in purchasing a commercial computer that is better at word processing & Email that share trackpads, mice, keyboards & cameras on the same bus as audio.
I do believe, (and have substantial evidence & experience that proves to my satisfaction) that transports, and transport software; varies, and affects the overall sound.
If others do not believe such, - bully for them. They will engender the benefits (likely) of a cheaper overall solution.

just replace pc with cdp. My frame of reference, when building my computer audio system was my Wadia cdp. Hence purchasing the Ayre QB9. It maxed out my budget, but I'm happy with the sound.
Have you checked out the WADIA line?
I am very happy with this arrangement, as it allows me the benefit of comparing what happens with the digital file playback area, with CDs, & DVD-As, and SACDs.
Also, - I have over 800 CDs and SACDs, but I have nearly 2000 additional CDs burned to my NAS, (and not available on disc), - many of which I enjoy.
FWIW, the Rendu is looking like the winner to replace the MAC Mini.

I would highly recommend the Rendu. I've been using one for a while now and it sounds great.
using into your DAC?

I hope it gets your toes-a-tap'n. I see were they mention J-Remote for volume control, but does it allow for artist/album/song selection as well?
Hi,
As I understand it, two apps are needed, something like LMS server (which I already have), or minimim running on the NAS, or another computer. And client side on an IPAD, (audionet), or Bubble UPNP (Android).
