Hi Abe
Plan is to go directly to my DAC with the possible exception of a USB to AES/EBU converter.
thanks

If tablet=Android I wonder if this is going to work.
To the best of my knowledge USB audio (UAC1/2) is not part of Android at the present.
There are apps allowing you to play over the USB as they come with their own USB drivers like

A more common approach is haven a box supporting UPnP/DLNA (a PC or a streaming audio player) and use the tables as a remote (control point)

I know direct attach to DAC has been done with the USB camera connection kit on iPad. Not sure about Android or Windows tablets.
Yes - I use this to connect my iFi Nano DSD to my iPad or iPhone. Works great.
Nice. Clean and easy. No fuss. ;-)
