How do you define a purpose built transport? Would you consider the work by Chris at Computer Audiophile a purpose built transport?

of later XMOS driver packs other than the Thyscon 1.62 WILL not install in Server 2012 come what may, including W8 compatibility. Weird.
To follow up try Win 7 mode. or in core mode use Phil's install command. It is explained in the AO PDF.

Are you trying Win 7 mode? Win 8 is essentially the same as Server 2012.
I don't follow Chris's work, so I can't comment on it.

The CAPs Servers. Very well though out. He has put allot of effort into designing a proper computer audio server.
