Are the JRIver device choices (tools -> options -> audio) somewhat generic (WASAPI, etc) or are they indicating that JRIver truly sees your Windows Marantz driver (would say something like "Marantz 2.0 ASIO"). I'd reboot the server once you choose a Marantz driver entry. The 48k limitation sounds like a generic driver is all that is being seen by JRiver.
Follow Ups:
This is a Windows 7 machine, BTW.The choice tools each identify the Marantz driver, so it seems it does see the driver. How do you mean "reboot the server?"
One other observation: The Marantz manual has a screenshot of the Windows Sound control panel with a drop down box listing several sample/bit choices (88000/24, 96000/24, etc).
My actual control panel shows only two options in the drop down, the 44100 and 48000 options. This does not seem right.

Reboot = Turn it off then on.
