Rummer has it in d'RAT circles that Herr Chairman Comrade Barrock Houssain bin Lyin' is doing so poorly in the polls he more then likely will be a one-term Chairman. As of today, Witch Hillary's popularity poll numbers far surpasses that of bin Lyin'. It is also rummered amoung the political pundents that the Clinton's and specially Billy, really hate O'bummer for the way he treated them during the campaigns.
The word is, if the d'RAT's don't fire O'bummer for his ineptitude, Witch Hillary will run against him in 2012.
So, a possible scenerio: The 'She Wolf Of The North' vs. 'The Witch of the East'. I can just imagine the debates, it should be 'Hillaryairious'!!!

...All standardized tests top out at 160. The only "tests" that render IQ's of 180 are the type you can find in your average box of Cracker Jacks.

What is true is, that as these scales are based on a Gaussian distribution, they are not linear, thus becoming less and less precise as the measured value increases beyond a certain point (160, if memory serves me well)...
And then we still have the small problem of Gardnerīs "multiple intelligences", too (eight, and counting...), with Frau Palin scoring high if you consider rapacity as one type of intelligence: "Barracuda Palin" sounds like right on her...

And while 'intelligence(s)' is certainly not fully accounted for by the standard tests, the formal definition of intelligence (as embodied by the IQ score) does range only from 40-160. It's not that significantly higher (and lower) intelligence don't exist, it's just that their explanatory relevance is minimal beyond these points.
And you are entirely correct about the scales not being truly interval scales. Most psychologists have long known that although we deal with these scales as if each ordinal interval is the same as the other, they're really not. Specifically, the numbers in the middle range are not as significant than numbers at the extremes. As such, parametric measures should really not be applied to these scores as they are not based on a ttrrue interval scale. However, in the interests of simplicity we do.
But these are discussions that are lost on the average Joe.

We were an Army Reserve dental company and had our meetings at the University of Wash. School of Dentistry. Our company commader was a five-star colonel and head of the college's Children's Orthodonistry. All of the officers had doctor's degrees and were practicing dentists. Nearly all of us enlisted men had BA's or MA degrees. and were in an assorted professions. We were called to active duty and reported at Ft. Lewis. The first thing they did is give us a battery of tests, including an IQ test.
Our desk sargent was by profession, an accountant. He had access to all our records, including the scores of the IQ tests we had just taken.
He did an absolute no-no, by revealing confidential information over a bull-shiting session over beers at our local NCO club.
What he revealed was, the dentists, which had doctor's degrees and the company commander who was a colonel and head of a College Medical School didn't have any higher IQ's then us enlisted men.
The person with the very highest IQ was our First Sargent. He only had a highschool deploma and never went to college. In civilian life he was a body and fender repairman.
The conclusion of this experience is, like Sara Palin, it doesn't make any difference wheather or not you went to college, your IQ will not change much. It all depends on how smart you are in using what you have.

I'm talking research based, standardized tests.
You are familiar with the bell shaped curve, right. These tests all have standard deviations of 15 points. A 160 puts the recipient at +4 SD's. Anything beyond plus or minus 4 SD's is statistically and clinically meaningless.

That's why other standards of measurement get developed.

I'm simply saying what literally all the test developers have said...that scores (on anything, BTW) more than 4 SD'd out from the mean become utterly meaningless. Specifically, does it really matter if you're IQ is 150 or 160? Or if your score is 40 vs. 50?
In the first instance you're profoundly intelligent, in the second, you're severly retarded.
