I guess that explains a dark blue state like New Jersey, electing a Republican governor, and the total wipeout of Obama supporting Democrats in Virgina, with Republicans capturing the governor, lieutenant governor and attorney general slots, plus a whole bunch of seats in the VA legislature.
And in NY's 23rd special election, where there were no primaries, a conservative unknown who was definitely not a seasoned politician and came out of nowhere, came within 3 points of defeating a the Democrat establishment candidate. That one will be interesting to watch next year, when actual primaries are held..
All in all, a great night for Republicans. I am really looking forward to 2010, as if the current political, anti Washington sentiment continues to grow, it could be a complete wipe out of progressives who are meddling in just about everything.

They picked an off year on purpose, 3 or 4 nut groups did. They all got voted down but this one. We defeated TABOR for the 3rd time.
We'll just have to do it again.
We had a medical marijuana bill pass, that was cool.
