If we can prevent just one war like Iraq we will hundreds of billions ahead. Seems like a pretty good investment to me
Tell me specifically how welfare for the world would have had even the tiniest potential to avert the Iraq conflict?
As in similar to. You know, similar as in a long dragged out affair with a raging insurgency.
Why by building goodwill towards the people of the United States as in like it used to be before we started wasting our money propping up dictators like Saddam. People who like you don’t generally shoot at you or blow themselves up for a chance to kill you. People who are hungry tend to like you when you give them food. People who are sick are generally happy when you give then medicine. Sure, sure you can screw up the system by killing tens of thousands of their countrymen before you give them the food. But hey, nothing is perfect.
Find somebody else to commiserate with. late is a good candidate, he's always miserable.
I drew the connection between the “welfare” and the potential for avoiding a conflict “like Iraq” You said “the slightest” so I didn’t spend much time on it and I used the time I saved to rip on republicans. What were you expecting?
