If we can prevent just one war like Iraq we will hundreds of billions ahead. Seems like a pretty good investment to me

  Why by building goodwill towards the people of the United States as in like it used to be before we started wasting our money propping up dictators like Saddam. People who like you don’t generally shoot at you or blow themselves up for a chance to kill you. People who are hungry tend to like you when you give them food. People who are sick are generally happy when you give then medicine. Sure, sure you can screw up the system by killing tens of thousands of their countrymen before you give them the food. But hey, nothing is perfect.
