I have a pair of Futterman OTL H3AA's that I would like to sell.
They are original handmade Futtermans by Julius himself(of course)
Anyone know what they are worth? I have extra tubes but they need to be recapped.
Thanks
Mike

Are they still on the market, I have spoken with someone on a different futterman.(I shall have to dig up, and contact one of the original repair guys he still repairs and modifies them. If they are still for sale I can inquire about value) I recently also read about some one who had a custom run of capacitor made for his replacements) I plan to run on a stacked pair of quads.
yes, they are still for sale.
I would love to find the guy that made a custom run of the caps, if you could direct me in that direction it would be great! I had planned on restoring them but I am going in a different direction regarding power.
Thanks
Mike
Until the mid-90s, I had a pair that Julius made for me in 1979, and I regret selling them just for reasons of nostalgia. But I have no idea what they are worth these days. However, when you decide on a price, let me know. Thx.
One of the most musical piece of equipment in my musical(hifi)history,
I had probably the first pair in Europe (had to use them with tramsformers to convert to European 220V)
I did use them with stacked Quads (-57)for over 6 years and they gave me
hours of enjoyable music hours.
I also had some Luxman OTLs,and the Futtermans blew them away completley on chamber and solo piano music!
I surely miss them!
My advise to You is to keep them!

I'm repeating myself, but I love my NYAL OTL3's, based on the Futterman circuit.
They also vastly outperformed everything else I tried to drive my Stax F83's, including
the Counterpoint OTL, the AudioResearch D250, and some solid state amps I tried.
The only amplifier my wife would tolerate.
