I guess "nothing is simple" applies here. Based on your comments Ralph, the risk is not worth the convenience gained by performing this mod. I did not realize the complexities of the internal wiring.
BTW thank you for making the asking of this question even possible ...I am simply lost for comments when it comes to the sound of these beasts.
