Impetus is brilliant. A lot of good stuff on that list....you have a good ear.
I always thought he was one of the stand-up guys around here. Also, of course, a brilliant musician.
Happy listening,

Yep.
GEO-
I tried to send a PM to you.
I wrote him privately and tried to convince him not to worry too much about the clowning around here, not to mention the few humorless blowhards who take themselves too seriously, but I think it genuinely depressed him when he was unable to convince some ignorant folk to see the light. Or hear the music. His was a rare combination of superior musical talent and education. Not to mention modesty and courtesy.

I congratulate you for keeping up with current performers.
Antonio Sanchez- is tops as well.

how is your Bill Evans project doing?
But I've been on continuous travel and have not been at home with my system to get it done.
Still enjoying Live at the Village Vanguard along with Holly Cole Don't Smoke in Bed on my Ipod and Sennheiser portable rig during downtime.
I am definitely a BH fan. Thanks for the awakening. Looks like lots of great jazz in my future.
G2-
another recent Bill Evans title that I would be remiss w/o mentioning;
Live at Art D'Lugoff's Top of the Gate. Keep me posted.
Go for It! G2
"Some other Time" is outstanding. Keep me posted as you grow your Bill Evans collection.
Nice list-Geo
Tom Harrell has been on quite a roll since 2010. Excellent release all around.
I started down the list and stopped at no. 1.
Melissa Aldana..... What a treasure!
Absolutely love her. She has some Sam Rivers in her playing!
