There are some real gems in there, with a lot of stuff never having been on CD before (e.g., that incredible performance of the Martinu Sixth Symphony AFAIR). Congrats on the score!

Will have to give it a listen on QOBUZ tonight!
Sadly, it's a DynaGroove, AKA 'DynaJunk'.
Dose that mean it sucks as a digital file as well?
Maybe not?
If the 'Nocturnes, L. 91: II. Fêtes' is any indication, and this one is in your box set, give it a listen and let me know your thoughts.
It sounds GREAT on Qobuz.
Just listened to 'Fetes' from the new set, and it does indeed sound really good--like other RCA recordings from that era (early 60's) do. It might be worth it to hear what improvements the 24/192 download might offer.

If I remember correctly, Dynagroove was geared specifically toward the mastering/pressing of LPs rather than the recording process itself. The master tapes (and the digital files made from them) should be fine.

That high a resolution might seem to be overkill for the older, mono recordings, but at least you've got to give Sony credit for releasing them that way in the first place. (BTW, the sticker on top of the box mentions that many of the recordings were newly remastered at 24/96; no mention at all of 24/192.)

The included book indicates that many of the recordings were indeed remastered at 24/192 (some of them are available on HDtracks and Acoustic Sounds as 24/192 downloads). Several others were remastered at 24/96, while still others used the DSD remasters (done for the SACDs).

as most of these recording were considered to be the best of their day.
