Pat Martino playing a little and talking of his career. It starts with his dad taking him to shows in Philly and meeting Les Paul at 12 and playing for him. Meeting Wes Montgomery at 13. Moving to NYC at 15, living with Les Paul and playing in a big band with greats. Taking Les to hear and meet Wes Montgomery. This video is a treasure from a great guitarist and human I had the pleasure to meet in Philly in the 80's. Check it out.

Man, that was deep. Very engaging interview and a great break from what's going on in the "real" world. I hope to expand my Pat Martino collection after this. Both his brief playing and fantastic sound of this guitar manifested the mystical dreamy effect he can have. He does some great work on Sea Journey and Butterfly Dreams, two extremely evocative cuts on Stanly Clarks "Children are Forever". Excellent post. T456

Your welcome. Im glad you seemed to have enjoyed it as much as me. It seems there are similar videos on YT called Pat Martino at the Harlem Museum or close. Several ten minute parts. Cheers!
