And she does play them well! Decades ago, when I did a lot of accompanying for flute players (including Frances Blaisdell's summer master classes), never a year went by when someone wasn't playing these works! What I like in Jasmine's performances are the extreme flexibility of tempo (something that Frances Blaisdell always encouraged in the pirces, especially the first) allied to expressive changes of dynamics and tone quality (which itself is also beautiful, as far as I can tell from uTube). And she of course avoids all the intonation pitfalls in these works. Brava!
However, boos and hisses to Jasmine for not identifying her excellent pianist! ;-)
As the photo below shows, Jasmine seems to have learned a lot from Yuja already! ;-)

First, kudos on remembering the great late Frances Blaisdell. And yes, the Schumann Romances are extraordinarily beautiful. And yes, the fine pianist should have been acknowledged.
. . . yes, Jasmine appears to have learned a lot (sartorially) from Yuja. ;-)

Don't know about that. Jasmine Choi is about 4 years older than Yuja Wang, and graduated from Curtis 4 years earlier, though they were there at the same time briefly (Choi 2002-2004, Wang 2003-2008). Do you think a 19-year old would be learning about fashion from a 15-year old? Do you have any daughters, Chris?
If this forum is going to be all about teen-aged girls, you need to learn some basics!
BTW, no daughters here - my wife sometimes feels overwhelmed by all the testosterone in this family - and, from time to time, she lets us (me and our two sons) know! ;-)So if Jasmine was the influencer, I guess I can understand it.
