In Reply to: RE: New Milstein set of Violin Concertos features nude on the cover - prudes go ape! posted by Chris from Lafayette on June 06, 2016 at 12:33:43
There have been nudes on album covers since the early days of vinyl. Classical, rock, jazz, new age, whatever. Actually, there's one much more revealing album cover right now on Vinyl Asylum (although it will probably be nuked soon by a mod).Link to prudes going ape, please.

Sadly pulled by a censor police.
Now I get all nostalgic when I see it! ;-)
These comments remind me of some of the ones I read here: some folks can't be bothered to go to the trouble of actually listening to the music, but, wow, can they ever comment on the album covers! ;-)
Yeah - I saw the post on Vinyl Asylum. Totally tasteless! And to think that I wasted my precious time opening up that post and reading it! LOL!
I hadn't looked at the comments. Morons.
There is a thriving market for the many, many nude covers from the vinyl era. This one is actually pretty tame in comparison to some. I mean, do you remember the John and Yoko full frontals for their album "Unfinished"? And the old Hendrix "Electric Ladyland" featured a lot of electric ladies. The all-fem quartet Bond had a pretty racy cover for one of their CDs. I know there are a lot more. I don't keep up with them.
I'm all for gratuitous female nudity in classical music. Except by fat opera singers. I'm just as happy for them to keep their clothes on.
