[or recently alive], only pop/rock music counts. So, "from the beginning of time to now" actually means from the foggy appearence of rock and roll in the 1950's, and "the greatest song of all time" only counts time from that point.
Thus, if you happen to trace your lineage to, oh say, the ancient Hebrews, or Greeks, or Chinese, you've:
[1] In terms of music, you've never given it any thought
[2] Concluded that they also listened to pop/rock/Crap
[3] Concluded that they didn't have any music back then.
Long live ignorance. Rock on.

You put me in mind of a relative who, informed that I preferred "classical" music, started a conversation about the Beatles.
much of a sense of humor, do you? I don't criticize you for that, but are you aware that the performance I linked is simply a comedy routine? That it is not intended as an even remotely accurate summary of the history of modern Western music, much less music generally?
Some of my posts are solely for fun and entertainment. Not to be taken too seriously. Just jokes. If you don't appreciate them, that's fine, but the lecture is unnecessary.

...might make you feel a bit more "average" and we can't have that! You seem to have tethered your ego to a handful of composers whom you think are great, and then take it personally if others don't agree with your definition of "great".
But think about what you're doing: you're basing you self worth on the achievements of others. That's just sad.
