Bax 2nd is imho truly amazing and evocative.
Certainly have to hand it to Lyrita for giving lesser known composers a chance but most haven't grabbed me.
Like most things English, it's an acquired taste.
Yes, I'm English and am most definitely an acquired taste.Of course Moeran, although born English, came of Irish stock and the landscape of Ireland was a significant influence upon him and his compositions.

Lots of noisy brass and percussion, right? The echo of those posts lingers on. And lots of lists, long ones. Finally, an announcement that she decided she didn't like classical music.
every time I hear the ending of the piece; it's such an unabashed crowd-pleaser.
