I don't know how many of you have yet reached the 174th post in Chris from Lafayette's epic Janine Jansen thread below. But I feel no guilt at spoiling the surprise for those of you still studying and pondering posts 1 through 173, since the 174th post, that of bluemooze, breaks such important new ground that it merits if not requires annotation, whether treated as an introduction or postscript to his groundbreaking ideas.
Put simply, bluemooze has created both a startling new concept and the descriptive language to accompany it: that of the "baber", and it's presumed antithesis, the "anti-baber" (but see more on the etymological implications of the "anti-baber" below).
A baber is one who collects CDs, and possibly downloads that include cover art, though bluemooze does not explicitly address that point, of classical music performed by babes. This by itself is a conceptual and linguistic breakthrough, but bluemooze goes much further: He develops the concept of the anti-baber.
The anti-baber is not simply one who does not collect babe CDs and is thus not a baber, or even one who actively objects to the activities of babers as insensitive, misogynistic or just plain boring. This kind of meaning might ordinarily be presumed from the common usage of the prefix "anti-" : opposed, contrary to. No, the anti-baber is something far more provocative, and with wider-reaching implications: One who collects CDs of classical music performed by anti-babes.
Like many great discoveries, the concepts of the anti-baber and its corollary the anti-babe are logical, even obvious, once they are proposed.

rbolaw,
An interesting post, but mere camouflage to hide the fact that you didn't answer my question.
In fact, none of the anti-babers answered my question.
Answer the question.
What's your little question?
In music, I know pretty much everything, so I may be able to help you out.

What's your little interest in my little question?
If you care so much, read the threads.
Get lost.
Yet, despite the diligent and persistent efforts of such researchers as Chris from Lafayette to fully examine classical music from the baber perspective, to date no one has stepped forward to construct and develop the anti-baber paradigm along the lines proposed by bluemooze.
Is an anti-babe simply a babe who has indisputably aged beyond hotness or babelisciousness? Does she suffer from a physical infirmity or deformity? Does she dress in hideous and/or fashion-backward garments that hide any trace of babeness that might be present?
Is the anti-misogynistic camp more closely allied with the babers (because a hot babe can still be a great musician) or the anti-babers (because a butt-ugly hag can still be a great musician)? Further, can one be both a baber and an anti-baber, much as one could collect and admire both baseball cards and porcelain figurines? Alas, I have to turn my attention to other things now. But I invite further parsing of these innovative concepts.
. . . although I'm very sorry to disagree with some of your interpretations of his writings. Nevertheless, I applaud you for even attempting to get to the profound essence of his terms and the crux of his insightful postulations. I think if you take a few additional moments to do some quiet meditation on what bluemooze has written, the TRUTH will eventually reveal itself to you!
How does a thread about Daniil Trifonov metamorphose into one about Yuja? One of the enduring mysteries of the universe, I'd say.
